"The old vines in Pimentiers have turned out a very red fruity and minerally example in 2016 and the wine is going to be simply outstanding. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a blend of red currants, cherries, violets, stony minerality, pigeon and a smoky topnote redolent of bonfires. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very transparent in profile, with an excellent core of fruit, fine-grained tannins and excellent bounce and backend energy on the long and very well-balanced finish. 2023-2060."
