Brilliant magenta. Mineral- and spice-accented aromas of ripe cherry and red berries are complemented by a smoky top note and a hint of candied flowers. Pliant and spicy on the palate, offering nicely concentrated bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that deepen slowly on the back half. Finishes gently sweet and quite long, with a hint of succulent herbs and smooth tannins lending shape and closing grip.
