"The 2015 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Gravains is the most wild and savory of Domaine Pierre Guillemot's premiers crus, opening in the glass with notes of plum, briary fruit, rich forest floor and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is pure, vibrant and crunchy, its tannins asserting themselves more prominently than those of the Serpentières at this stage, though Vincent Guillemot observes that though the Gravains starts out more obviously structured, it is also quicker to come round."
