"Spicy baked rhubarb, plum & cherry clafouti give this wine a welcoming richness that shines warmly in toasty oak & cola tones. Light on entry, it develops robust flavors & texture in the glass, softly seductive in an underlying freshness of acidity, with flavors of cardamom, tea & drips of dark chocolate"--VB

"Merry's 2015 Klopp Ranch offers a seductive floral perfume on the nose, leading to leading to a richly layered palate of blueberry & black cherry with a touch of oak vanillin & fall spices. The tannins are relatively modest, making for immediate enjoyment. That said, this is a beautifully structured & well-balanced Pinot Noir that will deliver pleasure for several years to come".

"The current Klopp Vineyard Pinot Noir shows deep concentration, with candied black cherry aromas peeking out from beneath rich oak spice on the nose, & bold acidity & some pert tannin carrying the flavors through a blooming finish. Age this a while to get at all the charm within ---I would say five years is a good start."

"Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Klopp Ranch opens with fragrant herbs & earth notions over a core of black cherries, cranberries & stewed rhubarb with touches of raspberry leaves & roses. Medium to full-bodied, it packs in the tightly wound red & black fruits, which are supported by firm, grainy tannins & seamless freshness, finishing with a lingering herbal lift. Only 1,125 cases produced".
"The 2015 vintage is classic Klopp through and through. The aroma is packed with mouthwatering, brambleberry fruit in all its forms: fresh berries, jam and pie! Its sanguine complexion is augmented by black raspberry, cola, ripe fig and Bing cherry. Plush, toasty French oak is nicely integrated and plays a supporting role along with rich, dark chocolate.
Its dynamic palate opens with a soft, opulent volley but quickly builds to big, lush tannins and a dense, weighty yet expansive finish. Surprisingly this Pinot is light on its feet with ample acidity building a fresh mouthfeel. Long life is a virtual certainty for this wine.
This artisanal Pinot Noir may contain a gift of wine diamonds – natural tartrate crystals resulting from an abundance of potassium in this vintage. These may be found as a ring below the cork or may have gathered around the punt of the bottle. If you wish, simply decant to remove these burgundy-colored crystals and enjoy!" - Winery
