"A fleshy hint of ripe cherry creates an inviting nose. The palate is similarly fruity but also firm with fine tannins. There is something rustic, rugged and earthy about this, but in a very engaging way. Slightly rustic but quite alluring. Drink 2018–2025."

"Bright red. Very fruity aromas and flavors of spicy red berries, musk and mint. Enters juicy and fruity, then turns mountingly tannic; according to Marc Hugel, the tannic mouthfeel is typical of the 2015 vintage. Features a lovely, lingering ripe red cherry juice quality on the finish. Made from a blend of bought grapes (two-thirds of the total) and grape from the Pflostig and Beblenheim areas. All of the old Pinot Noir vines used to make this wine have been replanted over time and the vines are currently about 20 years old on average. Marc said he might try using whole bunches again in the future, but he tried in the early in 2000s and wasn’t so happy with the result."
