he 2014 Grands Liards in the Camus cellars is also excellent and shows a bit more black fruit tones than the dramatically red fruity Pimentiers this year. The fine bouquet offers up scents of black cherries, pomegranate, raw cocoa, stony minerality, woodsmoke, Savigny spices and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, and very pure on the attack, with a sappy core and excellent length and grip on the ripely tannic finish. Like the Pimentiers, these very old vines turn out a premier cru level wine year in and year out and the 2014 is very strong.
