"Silky and vibrant, setting the stage for strawberry, cherry, currant and floral flavors. Just when you think this is all fruit, the dense tannins assert themselves, with accents of iron, tobacco and black tea. Elegant and harmonious. Best from 2018 through 2032. 145 cases imported."

"The 2013 Chambolle Premier Cru bottling from the Drouhins is really superb, jumping from the glass in a primary blaze of red and black cherries, coffee, gamebirds, a beautiful base of soil, mustard seed and a touch of bonfire in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with ripe tannins, tangy acids, fine focus and grip and a long, nascently complex and very promising finish. This will be lovely."
"Besides the Grand Crus of Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, the House of Joseph Drouhin is also the owner of several distinguished Premier Cru vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny. These Premier Crus are vinified separately, in the traditional Burgundian style, and then assembled together under the Premier Cru label.
Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru should be served with delicately prepared dishes, such as "Canard aux cerises" (duck cooked with cherries) or "Boeuf aux morilles" (beef with morels). The cheeses should be ripe but not too strong." -Importer
