"The 2012 Marsannay Clos du Roy includes half young vines and half planted in the 1950s. It has an airy, delineated, carefree bouquet with perfumed black cherries mixed with dried violets. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry, almost Gamay-like in texture, but with great mineralite and tension towards the finish."
