"The 2016 Barolo Riserva is gorgeous. It begins to impress with attractive aromas of dark cherries and wild strawberries, followed by spices, dried florals, leather and underlying hints of tar. On the palate this is beautifully structured with outstanding depth and balance. The Riserva is already extremely impressive and should only continue to evolve gracefully over the next decade and beyond."

A pretty Barolo with a decent balance of fresh red-berry fruit and quite sweet, vanilla-tinged oak. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and a flavorful finish. An almost approachable riserva, but will continue to develop in the bottle. Better from 2024.
