Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A Merlot-dominant blend, with 35% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Rocksteady Proprietary Blend combines nuances of cola, cedar and black cherries on the nose. It's full-bodied and dusty, with plenty of substance and texture and a long finish redolent of black tea and star anise.

The 2019 Red Blend Rocksteady is composed of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it delivers warm plums, black cherry compote, and licorice with touches of lavender and truffles. Full-bodied, it is rich and spicy in the mouth, with plush tannins and lively acidity, finishing with a fragrant lift. 390 cases were made.

The 2019 Rocksteady is mostly Merlot but includes 25% Cabernet Franc. It showed consistently with the prior review on this wine and has darker cherry fruits, some cedary herbs and leather nuances, medium body, and a supple, elegant profile that leads with its acidity. I would enjoy bottles over the coming 8-9 years.
