A ripe, elegant and balanced wine, this has some of the firm tannins associated with young Saint-Estèphe along with rich, perfumed blackberry fruits. Drink this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from 2023. ROGER VOSS
Château Grandchemin Monplaisir is comprised of 17 acres of vines in Saint-Estèphe, most of which are old vines of 40+ years of age. They are spread out over different soil types with clay, gravel and limestone. This soil diversity gives this elegant wine added complexity and depth. The name is derived from the two hamlets, Monplaisir and Grand Chemin, in which most of the vineyards of the estate are planted.
