"An absolutely wonderful wine from I Greppi, the flagship ‘Greppicaia’ is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot and it is already nearly impossible to resist. Aromas of ripe blackberries, dark currants, violets and hints of tobacco all come together beautifully in this strong and powerful Bolgheri Superiore. The palate is full body and wrapped in silky tannins. It shows wonderful overall balance with a vibrant finish that shows excellent length. While this offers both early appeal and the ability to age, readers should display a touch of patience and allow this another year or two before approaching."
