"John Williams and his team focus this wine on merlot grown at the vineyard surrounding their winery on the east side of Rutherford, where clay soils near the Napa River provide a cool environment for the vine roots. Those vines grew a tart, plummy wine in 2015 that leaves beautiful freshness in its wake. The richness of the sweet fruit bristles with lively notes of spice, bark and bitters, lasting in a bright savor for rack of lamb."
