"006 Merlot is made with 100% estate-owned, sustainably-farmed grapes. The name 006 derives from the cadastral nomenclature of the estate: one of the few vineyards in Argentina (if not the only) located next to an actual flowing river. Indeed, the image on the label depicts all of the elements of the varied alluvial-type soils that characterize the vineyard.

An ‘outstanding merlot’, as described by James Suckling, displaying a rich texture of black plums and blackcurrants, along with ripe tannins and minerality. Full bodied with a bright finish. Merlot is best paired with hearty dishes, such as grilled or roasted meats with a side of grilled vegetables.

Bodega Aniello is a young project started in 2010 in the Mainque district of the Upper Rio Negro Valley region of Patagonia. the 006 property was the first acquired, followed by another property purchased more recently for a total of 55 hectares. The first commercial vintage was 2013 but the wines are already receiving great accolades." - Importer
