This estate dates from 1912, when Pierre Henri Lacoste bought the property and began working the land. A few years later Georges and Marguerite Riviere bought the adjacent piece of land. With the marriage of the Lacostes’ daughter Denise to the Rivieres’ grandson Andre, the two properties became one. Today the estate is managed by their daughter Martine who is perpetuating the knowledge and traditions passed on for five generations. The wine is a 70/15/15 blend of Merlot and Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc; classic Right Bank, it is soft and plummy with a gentle smoky bouquet and good fruit concentration on the palate.
