"Bottled in September 2016, the 2015 Malbec is sourced from their old vineyard in Mayor Drummond in Luján de Cuyo. 2015 was not an easy vintage, but winemaker Roberto de la Mota explained how this old, organically-farmed vineyard with natural low yields was a lot healthier than the average, and they didn't suffer much from botrytis. There are some aromas of plum skin, hints of decayed flowers and some hints of development, perhaps not fully focused. It feels ripe, with black rather than red fruit. The palate is more austere than what the nose points at, with fine tannins and a sharp finish. I think it should be better with a little more time in bottle. 80,000 bottles produced."
