This lush, extracted Malbec oozes grapy aromas of blackberry and cassis. The palate matches the nose: it's intense and fully extracted. Toasty oak frames blackberry and marzipan flavors prior to a rich finish that's almost syrupy. This is a monster Malbec. Drink through 2022.

The grapes fermented in small cement vats and aged in oak barrels for 18 months. It is a serious, telluric wine that made me think of Priorat with its aromas of black fruit, earth, graphite and hints of smoke and spices that liberate some flower notes with time in the glass. The palate is full-bodied with abundant, dusty tannins, good balancing acidity and very intense, concentrated flavors that end with a mineral, soil-driven sensation. This is a big win and one for the long haul. It is powerful and ripe but has balance and I think, great stuffing for aging in bottle. 6,000 bottles produced. Drink from 2015-2022
