Wine & Spirits
"Give this wine some air and its bold, juicy peach-skin flavors develop and lengthen, completely filling the satin texture. The fruit is sweet and rich, the structure earthy with a grape-seed bitterness that lends tension. A complex young wine for roast pork." Reviewed August, 2014

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
"Rooting on moraine soils mixed with primitive
rocks, our Kerner develops its vivid acidity and
racy elegance. The fleeting, fruity bouquet of
peach, apricot and mandarin flatters the palate
with its pleasant fruit and freshness. Perfect as an
aperitif or accompanying light, summery dishes
and salads.
This small vineyard, located southeast of Nals,
offers the ideal soil conditions for Kerner and
Riesling. Its soft moraine soil, interspersed with
primitive rock (mainly porphyry), supplies the
vines’ deep growing roots with valuable minerals. "
History
Developed over millennia, viticulture is deep-rooted in Italy’s northernmost winegrowing area, South Tyrol. As an important part of the South Tyrolean wine culture, our winery is keeping up tradition since 1932. Our winegrowers’ vineyards extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of our region, allowing us to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations.
