Stephan Reinhardt - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Vinified in 500-liter French oak barrels for 18 months and bottled in May 2019, the 2017 Grüner Veltliner Unendlich is the first release since the (botrytized) 2003 and entirely based on super ripe and overripe but healthy grapes. The wine is clear, deep, bright and complex on the spicy Burgundian nose with aromas of white-pepper berries. Rich, sweet and elegant on the palate, this is a highly elegant mineral and tensioned Veltliner of great class and style. The finish is immense, very long and displays very fine tannins and great, persistent structure. This is the greatest GV I have tasted in my life. It's massive, yes, but full of tension, grip and expression. Sourced in the cooler sites of the Kellerberg and Liebenberg. Total production: 2,000 liters. Tasted at the domain in September 2019."
