"Really ripe flavors of apple and honeydew melon, combined with modest acidity, make for a net impression of subtle but attractive sweetness. The feel is lush for an entry-level bottling, but there is still a sense of buoyancy along with ample refreshing primary juiciness. A nutty-rich suggestion of lentil adds midpalate depth. And, as so often from this particular Gobelsburg bottling (labeled until recently as "Gobelsburger"), a mouthwatering and intriguing mineral dimension emerges in the finish, here evoking crab meat and shell reduction in its combination of salts, iodine and smoky sweetness." "A slight note of pear drop plays on the nose. The palate is juicy and vivid with citrus, green pear and some white pepper. Light on its feet, with an energetic force at its core and lovely concentration of citrus and herb notes, this fizzes away pleasantly. This is far too easy to drink and very, very refreshing." "For this wine, the grapes are from the best sites around the Heiligenstein (Lamm, Grub and Renner). The Grüner Veltliner is grown in young vineyards (under 20 years old) of the former Steiner Allerheiligenstiftung, a religious foundation that dates back to 1171." - Winery
