"Honeydew and muskmelons dominate on the nose as well as on the glossy and enveloping midpalate, but a rich undertone of roasted lentil and root vegetables, deeply toasted grains and tobacco engenders layered complexity that persists all the way through the superbly sustained, mouthwateringly salt-tinged finish. As sometimes happens with this particular bottling, there are hints of vanilla and resin from barrel, but their influence is not at all disruptive.
