"The 2015 Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Loibner Steinertal is from the first terraced vineyard of the Wachau (when you enter the valley from Krems) and its soils are very shallow. The complex and coolish, lovely precise nose displays smoky and stony aromas intertwined with ripe, white-fruit aromas and some legumes. Full-bodied, rich and intense on the palate this is a very elegant, salty and piquant Veltliner with a tension-filled, remarkably long finish. This is probably one of the outstanding Veltliners of the 2015 vintage in the Wachau." June 2016
