The terraces of the Malmont vineyard are drawn on a magnificent hillside; a hidden treasure in the heights of Séguret. Malmont, the name of the vineyard's place, has naturally become the name of this young estate of Nicolas Haeni who is realizing his dream here of cultivating a small area of ​​vines and being as close as possible to his land, in order to express the singularity of this terroir. The slope of Malmont is steep and the ground is very stony. It is therefore a very difficult place to cultivate and this is certainly the reason for its name. A great challenge then! The passion for this unique vineyard, harmoniously inserted in the hills of Séguret, led Nicolas to create this estate and vinify the first vintages in 2013.The cultivation of the vineyard follows the principles of organic and biodynamic cultivation, paying particular attention to the balanced nutrition of the soil. The aim of winemaking is to translate as faithfully as possible the fruit of the Malmont terroir, our intervention is minimal. Fermentations are spontaneous and the use of sulfur is very limited. No other product is added to the wine. A combination of power and elegance for this red Séguret. Beautiful aromas of cherries, violets and peppery notes. Remarkable power based on fine and silky tannins. Long finish. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah Manual harvest. Destemming. Spontaneous fermentation. Aging in French oak truncated cone vats. Maceration for 23 days. Aging on fine lees. Minimal addition of SO2. 13.5% Vol. Harvest: September 28, 29, 30 and October 1, 2 and 3, 2021 Bottling: August 30, 2022
