"The 2015 The Ramparts from The Walls winery checks in as a mix of 52% Grenache, 32% Mourvèdre, 13% Counoise, and 3 % Syrah brought up mostly in neutral oak. Kirsch, black cherries, dried flowers, and incense notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, layered, elegant red that has a seamless, silky texture. It's a high-quality Grenache from Washington that will drink nicely for 4-6 years."

"This wine is 52% Grenache, 32% Mourvèdre, 13% Counoise and 3% Syrah. The aromas are reserved, with notes of stem, black pepper, raspberry, blueberry and cranberry. The palate is full but light and elegant, especially for the appellation, with a persistent finish. -SS"

"(14.7% alcohol; the blended wine spent its last three months in a concrete cube after aging in neutral 500-liter barrels): Palish medium red. High-pitched raspberry and floral perfume. Juicy, spicy wine with noteworthy intensity and lift; not quite as complex yet as the 2014 version but this energetic wine is more sophisticated and finishes with suaver tannins and greater length."
