About

Rating:

87-90

The 2014 Cotes du Rhone from Domaine Roche has outstanding potential. A blend of 60% Grenache and 20% each of Syrah and Carignan, it’s a forward, jammy, rounded and deliciously quaffable effort that offers ample notes of red plums, jammy blackberries, dried spices and pepper. Drink it in its youth.

Run by the young Roman Roche, who's aided by Philippe Cambie, Domaine Roche is quickly becoming one of my favorite estates in Cairanne. In addition to their Cairanne releases, they also produce a terrific Cotes du Rhone.
