"An intense red, with cascading flavors of dark fig, cassis, blackberry pâte de fruit and plum sauce, underscored by notes of dark licorice and ganache. The long finish features lots of black tea and graphite accents, while a dusting of cocoa powder adds texture. Best from 2015 through 2030. 2,000 cases made. -- JM"

"Bright ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes red and dark berry preserves, smoky minerals and Asian spices, along with hints of cola and fresh flowers. On the palate, finely etched raspberry and lavender pastille flavors are given lift and spine by tangy acidity. Pure and balanced wine with supple tannins coming up slowly and adding finishing grip and structure. This graceful Châteauneuf should enjoy a long life based on its balance."

"Made from 40% Grenache, 35% Mourvedre and 25% Syrah, the 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is a pretty, elegant example of this cuvée. Always a selection of the best parcels and aged in a combination of concrete and barrels (20% being new), it offers plenty of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and garrigue-like qualities to go with a medium to full-bodied, focused and nicely concentrated feel on the palate. While it’s not a blockbuster, it excels on its purity, balanced and focus. It should drink nicely through 2024."
"Chateau Sixtine was created to live, grow, evolve over time without the years altering its depth and finesse. Jewel of eternal pleasure and magic, this wine is a complete fusion with the terroir, grape varieties, and breeding.
At first glance, the wine is a dark, deep, brilliant crimson colour. The dense nose offers pure, intense dark berry and undergrowth aromas. On the palate, the mellow, well-integrated wood adds an unrivalled silkiness. The well-balanced tannin structure, the precision and just the right balance of fruit give this wine its full personality. Its delicate, subtle scents lead you to a delightfully long, fresh finish. The silkiness of the wine dominates throughout the tasting. A jewel of a wine." - Winery
