"The 2011 Via Edetana, a blend of 60% Garnacha Fina 30% Garnacha Peluda and 10% Carinena, is very dark and seems closed and serious, concentrated and young, with an opaque core and a bright rim with aromas of black licorice and star anise, notes of tar and graphite and a good core of ripe black fruit that dominates the seamless palate. The tannins are round and the flavors are clean but perhaps could do with a little more freshness. A concentrated, modern, well-crafted red at a very attractive price."
