Lurid ruby-red. Very fresh and energetic on the nose, displaying expansive cherry, red berry preserve and Asian spice qualities and a smoky mineral overtone. Shows impressive depth as well as energy on the palate, offering vivacious raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that become sweeter as the wine opens up. Displays excellent delineation and finesse for the vintage and finishes very long and smooth, featuring lingering mineral character and supple, well-integrated tannins.

A south-western exposure, a soil of pink granite, and an altitude of 400 meters give elegance, minerality, and tension. 2015 offers density and silky tannins. Fermentation is by natural yeast and bottling is without filtration to preserve the integrity of this cuvee. "Dubois makes some of the most soulful, Burgundy-like versions of Beaujolais that I've encountered...a Fleurie with a bit of fealty to the Cote d'Or." -- Jon Bonne, San Francisco Chronicle
