Slightly disjointed acidity and spicy, noteworthy tannins gives this an edgy quality on the tactile, medium-long finish which features plenty of botanical herb and spice nuances. I like this wine’s traditional aromas and flavors, but I found it to be a little fruit-challenged at present; perhaps it’s going through a closed phase at present. The lack of fruit causes the acidity and the tannins to stick out more, but maybe all this needs is a little time to come around, and in that case, my score will look ungenerous."
