Antonio Galloni - Vinous:

"The house's NV Brut Rose de Cuvaison is another standout. Tar, smoke and game are some of the aromas and flavors that emerge from the glass, adding considerable complexity and nuance. A short maceration on the skinks gives this 100% Pinot Noir Champagne its volume and breadth. Richness and sophistication meld together beautifully here. This is a standout from Moutard. Disgorged July 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017." (11/12)

Allen Meadows - Burghound:

"An exceptionally fresh and layered nose features notes of raspberry, cherry and strawberry. Here too the effervescence is relatively fine and the delicious, round and relatively generous flavors are drier than the dosage would typically suggest. Like the Grand Cuvée this is quite stylish though one could hope for just a bit more overall depth." (1/13)

John Gilman - View from the Cellar:

"The current release of the Moutard Père et Fils non-vintage Brut Rosé is a lovely wine that is quite deep, cherry red in= color and offers up a superb nose of blood orange, cherries, a touch of cinnamon, rye toast, a complex base of soil and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and wide open, with a lovely core of fruit, very elegant mousse, crisp acids and fine focus and balance on the stylish and complex finish. My only (very minor) complaint with this wine this year is that it is not quite as long on the finish as the non- vintage Grande Cuvée from the house, but other than that, this is really a delicious bottle of non- vintage Brut Rosé. Moutard Père et Fils is one of my favorite producers in the Côte des Bar and this is a wine that is all too easy to drink. 2013-2020." (08/13)

Product Description:

"The families of Champagne Moutard Diligent have been living in the village of Buxeuil since the mid 17th century, and have a long tradition of both grape growing and wine production. Located in the Cote des Bar, the vineyard soils are made up of clays and limestones, lending to rich, fruity aromas and good minerality. Champagnes are cellar-aged for at least three years for non-vintage wines and up to ten and fifteen years for vintage wines." -Winery
