Nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Peronne, this small estate is a hidden gem, far from the crowded paths of big names and high prices.
Founded by the passionate husband and wife duo, Jean-Claude and Marie-Odile Janin, Domaine des Terres de Chatenay has grown from its humble beginnings of four hectares to an impressive ten, with 80% of its vineyards comprising old vines—an essential factor that contributes to the complexity of the wines produced. With vineyards in Peronne, the lieux-dits Chazelle, Quintaine and Verizet in Vire-Clesse, two kilometers away. They primarily sell their wines to private customers and local restaurants.
They work with passion, tradition and respect for the terroir. This produces delicate, pure wines with a beautiful minerality and length in the mouth.
