About

Ratings:

93-95

(Pillot has six barrels of this juice for the first time, still a relatively low 27 hectoliters per hectare): Bright medium yellow. Ripe peach and spices on the nose, plus an element of menthol minerality that reminded me of the Chenevottes. But this wine is at another level of concentration and tension, offering fully ripe yet saline and brisk flavors of yellow stone fruits, spices, flowers and minerals. Chewy, tactile and very long, with a spectacular resounding finish. This beauty boasts near-grand cru penetration and elegance. (12.9% natural alcohol)

89-92 Allen Meadows - Burghound

A very pretty and nicely layered nose combines notes of various white orchard fruit with those of soft floral, rosemary oil and a hint of mandarin orange. There is bit more volume to the attractively textured and sappy flavors though the finish is slightly drying though, somewhat surprisingly, not especially short. As such my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt.
