"Green-tinged straw. Musky pear, melon and lemon curd aromas are complicated by notes of iodine and white flowers. Sappy and expansive on the palate, offering juicy orchard and citrus fruit flavors plus suggestions of sweet butter and ginger. Taut and mineral-driven on the extremely long finish, with he floral note repeating."

3 Reasons to Love Goodland Santa Rita Hills White
1. The Team: Four California Wine Industry Veterans
Behind the Goodland label stands a team of some of California's best. They've got Ruben Solorzano, vineyard manager and "grape whisperer" at Stolpman Vineyards, taking care of the fruit. In the cellar, it's Matt Dees, the man behind beloved brands like Jonata and The Paring, working with Dave Potter, one of Wine Enthusiast's 40 under 40 in 2014 and a partner at Municipal Winemakers. Also on the team is Chris Snowden of Napa's Snowden Vineyards.

2. The Terroir: Historic Santa Barbara Vineyard
Santa Rita, a subregion of Santa Barbara, is hot. Not literally, though. That's the beauty of it. With the cooling ocean breezes and long growing season, it is the ideal spot for full-bodied - yet elegantly balanced - Chardonnay (and Pinot Noir). All the grapes for this wine are sourced from the historic Sanford and Benedict Vineyard, named by Wine Enthusiast as one of California's top 5 vineyards.

3. The Taste: Extraordinary
Great body. Great fruit. Great minerality. What more can we ask for? Intense flavors are full and focused, expansive on the palate and elevated by natural acidity.
