Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (78%) with the remainder Cabernet Franc, this comes for the high elevation Octave Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. This has great a combination of weight and finesse with dense dark fruits, chocolate, green herbs and suggestions of chocolate pie on the palate. Full-bodied and full of verve, watch this outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon evolve over the next ten to fifteen years. Drink 2024-2034

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Octave Vineyard is intense, with a rich blend of caramel and mocha lifted by minty herbs, finally giving way to rum-soaked currants. This is elegant with velvety textures and ripe red and black fruits, all guided by vibrant acidity as cedary spice and a savory herbal tinge form toward the close. A web of fine-grained tannins envelops the palate as hints of tart blackberry and mineral tones mingle throughout the dramatically long and staining finish. It's powerful, complex and beautifully balanced. This is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23% Cabernet Franc.
