International Wine Report
The 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely brilliant in this vintage. This gorgeous wine immediately impresses with its wonderful focused and complex aromatics of red and dark currants, which are joined by pencil lead, savory herbs, gravel, pipe tobacco and spring flowers that all come together beautifully. On the palate this shows a stunning display of pure Cabernet fruit, along with remarkable overall balance and precision, with a beautiful ripe core that expands seamlessly through the sleek, polished finish. It is hard to recall a more impressive release of Dunn's Napa Valley bottling, and while it is already absolutely delicious today, it also has the potential to age gracefully for many years to come. This is an absolutely fabulous wine that should not be missed.
94 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a total knock-out. What a wine. In some recent vintages, the Napa Valley Cabernet has been a bit light, but in 2017 it boasts tremendous richness, power and depth. Plush dark fruit, gravel, dried herbs and spice all flesh out in a decidedly intense, kicked up Napa Cabernet. Give it a few years for the baby fat to melt away. This is such an impressive wine.
