While it shows the more focused nature of the vintage, it has plenty of fruit and no shortage of tannin, so while billed as the entry-level cuvee, it will still have a decade of longevity."

"(this is the last Quilceda Creek wine to include a bit of Tapteil fruit; now all are made entirely from estate fruit): Deep red-ruby. Extremely ripe, liqueur-like aromas of plum and exotic flowers. Smooth, sweet and high-toned, with a flavor of raspberry liqueur accented by sage. In a rather southern style, finishing with building tannins. This wine is made from lots that did not make it into Quilceda Creek's flagship Cabernet, and it's clear to see where the slightly roasted fruit went."
