"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Cabernet / Merlot has aromas of crushed blackberries, black raspberries, wild blueberries and wild thyme with a pencil shavings undercurrent. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with expressive bramble berry preserves and spice box flavors supported with a solid backbone of grainy tannins and finishing with very good length. All processing, winemaking, bottling and packaging are done on site using the Estate’s own private facilities. 2015 sees Ashbrook Estate complete its 37th Vintage, one of only 5 Margaret River wineries to do so!

Margaret River is regarded as the premier region in Australia for Bordeaux blends as typified by Ashbrook’s blend of approximately 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. 24 months in French Oak and 18 months bottle maturation produce classical wines of elegance, intensity and opulence." -Winery
