Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2012 Duque D'A Cabernet Sauvignon is produced with fruit from Alto Cachapoal, and it matured in 50/50 new and second use French barriques for two years. This has a base similar to the Barón, as it's from the same estate vineyards but from separate selected plots. So, it has the lightness and brightness of the fruit, aromatic and balsamic, with some mintiness, with some blue fruit, hints of cassis and dry flowers. The palate reveals a very serious and balanced wine, with more freshness than I'd expected. With time it develops more classical aromas of cedar wood, graphite and blackberries. Did I say classical? 3,500 bottles were filled in March 2015."
