Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"A significant step up, the 2010 Intuition Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve comes from the Stone Tree Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope and incorporated 20% Petit Verdot. Aged 29 months in all new French oak, it offers lots of black fruit, chocolate, lead pencil shavings and assorted spice in a full-bodied, rich and layered package. A touch of dryness to the tannin gives me pause, but this is solid. Give it another year or two and enjoy through 2020, although if the tannin integrates, it will evolve for longer. "

Product Description:

This blockbuster blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Petit Verdot is a stunner. Aged for 30 months in 100% new French Oak, the 2010 Intuition is big, bold and full of texture and complexity. For those of you who have had a chance to try other wines from this tremendous estate ... just wait until you try this!

If you haven't yet had anything from Bergevin Lane, this is a great place to start!

"2010 Stands alone due to extraordinary events! If it was not for the cool temperatures and the higher than normal precipitation we would have experienced just a regular WA State year. 2010 was very challenging both in the vineyards and in the cellar. Techniques and procedures during crush, not tried in our winery’s history, were pulled out of the tool box and applied. The results speak for themselves. Merlot and Syrah stand out showing depth and chewy mouthfeel already and with late ripeners Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot showing more classic and complex "Bordeauxesque" undertones of earth and spice. Whites fared very well and especially favored our Roussanne weaving blends with high levels of complexity. All in all, we are happy with the 2010 vintage and look forward to enjoying these wines!" - Winery
