"An extraordinary wine, among the greatest Cabs in Flora Springs' long history. One hundred percent varietal, and made from a single clone, it shows fabulous density and serious weight, with dramatically rich blackberry, currant and cedar flavors anchored by a firm minerality. For all its power, the wine is balanced and elegant. An ager, it will drink well for at least a decade." -96 points Wine Enthusiast

"Komes Ranch Vineyard: This vineyard is located at the northern border of the Rutherford Appellation and the southern boundary of the St. Helena Appellation and is the home of Flora Springs Winery and many of our red wines. The vineyard naturally adds complexity to the wines through its diverse soil types, varying exposures and elevations as well as varying clones and vine age. This is truly one of the jewels of the Napa Valley."
"The slow ripening nature of this vineyard allows the fruit more hang time, adding to the intensity of fruit flavor and overall complexity of the wine. Following fermentation, the wine was racked immediately to 50% new and 50% second-use barrels. After 8 to 9 months, it was moved into 100% new French oak for the balance of aging, then bottled in September 2007"
"Both elegant and intense in style, this bright ruby-colored wine exhibits classic Cabernet Sauvignon varietal characteristics of cherry and spice aromas, followed by cassis, vanilla, black cherry and toasty oak. The lingering finish is complimented by soft tannins." -Winery
