The 2016 Cabernet Franc Malbec is a 60/40 blend of the two varieties from very young vines that fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and with half of the volume raised in old 1,000-liter oak vats for eight months. They were able to ferment the two varieties together by harvesting Cabernet Franc earlier (in 2018 they even harvested the Cabernet Franc before the Malbec!). The two varieties are very well integrated, compact and solid, combining characteristics from both and keeping a fresh acid backbone that lifts the wine up. It has very tasty, intense and long flavors that, again, are sustained by very good acidity. All of their wines here have good freshness, which makes them very drinkable and gastronomic. Very good value for the quality it delivers. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2017.
