"Savory herbs, crushed flowers, expressive red toned fruits are some of the many notes that take shape in the 2012 Cabernet Franc Poggio de' Colli. Today the 2012 is incredibly raw and unformed, almost as if it needed more time in barrel to come together. Readers will have to compensate by cellaring the wine for at least a few years. At this stage the flavors remain remarkably primary, but there is a lot to look forward to."

"An unconventional wine from Piaggia, blending the land and heart of Tuscany and the French tradition – 100% Cabernet Franc. The land, perfectly suited to Cabernet Franc, after years of tasting and refining, is selected in special parcels to create this special wine. Fermented in open top wood fermentors utilizing natural yeasts, the wine is manually punched down. Aged 15+ months in oak and at least 6 months in bottle prior to release." -Importer
