The fruit, and hence the wine, has an energy, structure, and perfume that is truly unique. The licorice, lavender, and spice box character that draws us to Cabernet Franc are alive and well in this wine. The 2011 vintage shows the power of great terroir, with deep color, fragrant fruit, and broad-shouldered tannins. This wine will no doubt continue to gain complexity over the coming 15-20 years in bottle.
