Its vineyards perch over the Layon on southward-facing land of shale and sandstone. They awaken in the autumn in the morning mist and are then warmed by the sun's rays, thus benefiting from an ideal microclimate for developing overripe harvests. Depending on the climate and the ripeness of the grapes, the 16 hectares of Chenin Blanc can produce a dry white Anjou or Coteaux du Layon.
