About

Product Description:

"Color: Deep violet with shades of blue and red Nose: Ripe red fruit developing into more complex spicy notes Palate: Velvety, smooth; ripe fruit notes and velvety tannins" "Château de la Guimonière covers an area of 19 hectares; a total of 16 hectares are planted with Chenin Blanc, appellation Coteaux du Layon, and 3 hectares are planted with red wines Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its vineyards perch over the Layon on southward-facing land of shale and sandstone. They awaken in the autumn in the morning mist and are then warmed by the sun's rays, thus benefiting from an ideal microclimate for developing overripe harvests. Depending on the climate and the ripeness of the grapes, the 16 hectares of Chenin Blanc can produce a dry white Anjou or Coteaux du Layon. On the 3 hectares planted with red grapes are produced a red Anjou and Cabernet d'Anjou." Winery
