Product Description:
"Deep, vibrant red color. Fresh, mulit-layered nose, really energetic: high florals, strong iron note, deep spice. Grippy, savory, even a little salty in the mouth. Finely textured. Refreshing finish, and directness (from the Mourvedre, most likely) Still brooding and tight, still sounding its own depths to know its scope and its shape. Ought to develop nicely for the next decade, or perhaps two decades.
In 2012 we destemmed the Grenache into our concrete tank, and what wouldn’t fit was desteemmed into a half-ton bin. The Syrah, picked same day, also went into half-ton bins. Fermentation proceeded without any inoculation. While the Grenache and Syrah fermentations were winding down, the Mourvedre was picked, crushed by foot, and fermented in half-ton bins, also without inoculation. All three varieties were pressed together, blended in a holding tank, and returned to the concrete tank, with overage going into stainless." -Winery
