"The star of the tasting was the 2011 Minervois La Liviniere Prima Donna! Made from 100% Grenache and aged in a combination of new and used demi-muids, it's up with the top wines in the vintage. Offering awesome notes of kirsch, licorice, herbs de Provence, garrigue and spiced meats, this sexy, full-bodied, voluptuously styled 2011 has ample underlying structure and a great finish. Already hard to resist, it should drink nicely for upwards of a decade. If given the opportunity, don't miss it!"
"Claude Fonquerle, with the help of rock star consultant Philippe Cambie, fashions these brilliant efforts from his estate in the Minervois. Not only do they deliver unique, character filled profiles, they remain more than reasonably priced. I've been singing the praises of these wine for a number of years now, and they should be must haves for anyone interested in top quality wines coming from the Languedoc. These are all superb efforts (as well as smoking values) that need to be on every reader’s radar." (04/14)
"The taste reflects a rounded, smooth and suave texture, very strong fruity taste (raspberry, blackberry); spices appear in the middle of the tasting, the filling is strong without softness, a mineral touch comes to complete the length of this wine." - Winery
