Description

"This classically-styled Chardonnay is nicely structured and well balanced, with a subtle acid backbone. Flavors of crisp pear and red apple are seamlessly woven with notes of citrus, minerality, and a hint of vanilla." -Winery

WINERY:
"Among the first to plant grapes in the Edna Valley, Jack Niven founded his family’s wine business in the early 1970s with Paragon Vineyard. His wife Catharine caught the bug from him, and planted a few acres in their front yard. Her project grew into what is now Baileyana Winery."

"The Edna Valley enjoyed another exceptionally long growing season in 2012. A dry winter was followed by a typically cool spring, setting up a smaller crop in the region. The summer was evenly temperate, with warm days and the influence from the Pacific cooling things off considerably at night. All factors contributed to tighter structure, more pronounced varietal characteristics, good solid acidity, and our estate's signature minerality component." -Winery
