The soils where Schuster grows Saint Laurent tend to feature the enhanced limestone content that the variety prefers. Harvested from vines some 14 or so years old, fermentation in open containers with autochthonous yeasts, no new wood no small wood during the maturation process. Beautifully multi-layered in the aromatix, the wine is agile and elegant on the palate, notes of smoke and a lot of tart cherry fruit. Tannins nicely integrated." -Importer
