From the Critics:
- "The 2011 Costieres de Nimes Nostre Pais is even better. Made from an intriguing combination of 30% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 15% Mourvedre, 15% Cinsault and a handful of other varietals, it offers up an opaque ruby/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of spring flowers, blue and black fruits, exotic Asian spices, earth and incense. This pure, fruit-driven, beautifully textured, complex effort should drink well for 5-6 years."
"The various cuvees produced by Michel Gassier and his American wife at Chateau de Nages are quickly becoming the reference point wines for Costieres de Nimes. Gassier practices biodynamic viticulture at this seriously run estate, and has the assistance of the brilliant oenologist, Philippe Cambie. The quality of the wines is remarkable, particularly at these price points. They have access to over 175 acres of vineyards which they exploit in a dramatically impressive fashion. Gassier's 2011s may be as strong as his 2010s. Michel Gassier also demonstrates a brilliant touch with white wines." (10/12) -
