"This terrific Macon wine, made from 100% Chardonnay (50- to 70-year-old vines), was barrel-fermented then aged in tank prior to bottling. A mix of beautiful honeysuckle, orange skin and flower notes jump from the glass. Fresh, medium-bodied, pure and almost buttery, it also displays a nuance of wet rocks, giving it a certain minerality. Nevertheless, it is the flowery notes that seem to dominate this compelling, dry, mid-weight Macon, which should be drunk over the next 3-4 years."
